Mixed Reality UX Research Brand Identity
Background
CONTEXT & MY ROLE
I joined the Mixed Reality UX Research team as the dedicated designer to help bring clarity, structure, and visual cohesion to a fast-evolving space. With no existing brand or design infrastructure in place, the team faced challenges in communicating insights and aligning design efforts across research, development, and product. My role was to bridge that gap—transforming complex findings into actionable design systems and tools that could support internal collaboration and customer-centered innovation.
As the sole designer on the team, I led the creation of the Mixed Reality UX Research brand and design system from the ground up. I collaborated closely with researchers and developers to translate research findings into compelling visuals, design frameworks, internal tools, and interface iterations for MR devices. I also produced reusable templates and infographics that helped the broader team align around human-centered principles and deliver more effective outcomes.
GOALS
The primary goal was to simplify and standardize workflows across the team. By designing a flexible system inspired by familiar formats like charts, graphs, and devices, I aimed to make research more actionable, design work more cohesive, and internal communication more efficientall while reflecting an optimistic, dynamic, and empathetic brand tone.
Design System
The design system for the Mixed Reality UX Research team was built to bring structure, consistency, and clarity across all internal touchpoints. Drawing inspiration from research tools like charts, graphs, and device schematics, the system includes components, templates, and visual guidelines that are flexible, easy to use, and aligned with the team’s human-centered mission.
